These four take under ten seconds between them, and they are the most useful ten seconds in the whole process.

- The connection is encrypted and the browser is not warning you about anything
- The page has content beyond the form, rather than being a bare form on an empty page
- You arrived by clicking through from the site itself, not from a link someone sent you
When sign-in does not work

- An unstable connection, particularly on a phone switching between two networks
If none of that helps, contact support with three things: when you tried, the full text of whatever you saw, and what you have already ruled out. Those three usually settle it in one exchange.
Keeping the account yours
Accounts are rarely reached by breaking anything. They are reached because the owner typed into the wrong page, or handed a code to someone claiming to be support. One habit prevents both: read the address before you type.
